The art features detailed character illustrations with a dark, editorial aesthetic — distinct from the more cartoonish styling of many 2021 PFPs. DeGod characters have:

$DUST Token and Burn Mechanics

Mint requirement: To mint a DeGod at launch, buyers had to burn $DUST tokens (the project’s native token). This created an immediate burn demand for the token and a high barrier to entry.

DeadGods upgrade: By burning $DUST, DeGod holders could upgrade their NFT to “DeadGod” status — a modified skeleton aesthetic version of their DeGod.

The DUST ecosystem:

“Fuck the Floor” Culture
