Trading and liquidity
THENA offers spot trading and an interface for onchain perpetual markets. Its liquidity products include classic pools and FUSION, which combines concentrated-liquidity pools with automated liquidity managers. FUSION can adjust ranges for liquidity providers, but the manager strategy and underlying pool remain additional dependencies. Product availability and contracts are chain-specific.
THE, veTHE, and theNFT
THE is the protocol’s utility and incentive token. Users can lock THE into the NFT-based veTHE position, with longer locks providing more voting power. veTHE holders vote on weekly liquidity gauges; partner protocols may add incentives to attract votes. The protocol documentation also describes a distinct theNFT collection with its own staking and revenue-sharing terms. These mechanisms are different from simply holding THE, and rewards depend on pool activity, votes, emissions, and the rules in effect.
THENA announced a V3,3 migration in 2025, while its current site still presents the ve(3,3) liquidity model as part of the ecosystem. Read the current contract and product documentation for the specific chain instead of assuming that older pool types or token mechanics apply everywhere.
Risks and limitations
Concentrated-liquidity positions can move out of range and accumulate one side of a pair; automated managers do not eliminate market or smart-contract risk. Perpetual trading adds leverage, liquidation, funding, and oracle risks. Token emissions, gauge incentives, and trading-fee distributions can change, and none guarantees a profit.
