Parcl is a market for perpetual futures tied to Parcl Labs real-estate indexes, while PRCL is the ecosystem token. The current Parcl V4 exchange runs on Parcl Chain; its documented markets provide synthetic price exposure to real-estate indexes rather than ownership of a house, land, rent, or mortgage claim. USDC is the trading collateral, and the protocol’s bridge also supports PRCL for a separate liquid balance.

How the Exchange Works
Parcl V4 lists no-expiry linear contracts on real-estate indexes. A trader takes a long or short position; profit and loss move with the contract’s index price and position size. The contract represents synthetic exposure: it does not give the trader a deed, tenant income, voting rights in a city, or a direct claim on property. As with other perpetual futures, leverage, funding, oracle quality, and liquidation rules can materially change risk.
What PRCL Does
Parcl Limited’s token materials describe PRCL as a network token for participation in governance over certain parts of the ecosystem, with additional data, trading, and incentive utilities where eligible. The V4 bridge documentation distinguishes PRCL from USDC: USDC deposits become margin collateral, while bridged PRCL is credited as a liquid PRCL balance and is not trading collateral. PRCL is therefore not the same thing as a Parcl futures position or a property-backed claim.
Supply and Tokenomics
The project announced a total supply of one billion PRCL and published allocation categories for community distribution and incentives, early supporters and advisers, contributors, and the ecosystem fund. CoinGecko’s October 24 snapshot reports about 911.6 million circulating and about one billion total supply; unlocks and provider methodology can affect these numbers. The price table is market information, not a measure of protocol usage or real-estate value.
Version and Risk Context
Parcl’s current V4 documentation describes a dedicated Parcl Chain, with USDC and PRCL bridged from Solana. This is different from describing the present exchange as simply a Solana application. Exposure depends on an index, exchange infrastructure, oracle inputs, and derivatives rules; it does not confer property ownership. The Solana connection concerns token funding and bridging, while Parcl’s trading layer operates on Parcl Chain.
