Merkle Trade

Merkle Trade was an Aptos-based perpetual-trading protocol. It is no longer an active trading venue: Merkle’s official notice says the protocol sunset on February 10, 2026, and its current site directs former users to a wind-down and claims process.

What Merkle Trade Offered

Merkle launched as a decentralized leveraged-trading platform on Aptos and later offered perpetual markets. Its original project description said trades executed against a protocol liquidity pool. These are historical features, not an active trading service.

The current entry is therefore about the project’s history and wind-down rather than a live derivatives venue. Old volume totals, market lists, leverage limits, token emissions, and APRs are time-bound and should not be presented as current metrics.

Wind-Down and Asset Claims

Merkle’s official sunset notice states that the protocol ended on February 10, 2026 and tells users with remaining assets to visit the official app. The wind-down page lists claim and withdrawal workflows for balances and positions and says that page is scheduled to remain available until February 5, 2027. The same page notes that claims are handled through a manual migration process and support tickets.

Anyone handling a remaining claim should navigate from Merkle’s official site, verify the domain and transaction details, and never disclose a seed phrase or private key. This article does not provide wallet-specific recovery or legal advice.

What the Status Does Not Prove

A sunset notice establishes the team’s published status, not the outcome of every individual claim. A token may continue trading elsewhere after its originating protocol closes, but that does not restore the protocol’s trading service or its former token utilities. Check current primary sources before relying on any claim about remaining balances.

Social Media Sentiment

A low-engagement r/Aptos roundup posted on February 10, 2026 described Merkle’s wind-down as in progress and noted that positions had closed while withdrawals were open. The post had very little visible engagement, so it documents community awareness of the transition rather than representative user sentiment.
