Logan Paul

Logan Paul is a creator, entrepreneur, and professional wrestler whose crypto profile became closely associated with CryptoZoo, an NFT-based game he promoted in 2021. The game was presented as a project where players could collect and breed digital animals. Buyers, reporters, and commentators later disputed whether the promised product and utility were delivered. Those criticisms and the plaintiffs’ allegations should be distinguished from findings made by a court.

CryptoZoo and Public Reporting

In 2022, YouTube investigator Coffeezilla published a series examining CryptoZoo’s development and interviews with people involved. TIME later reported on the project, buyers’ losses, and a proposed class action. Such reporting documents what sources and plaintiffs said; it does not by itself prove an intentional scheme. The term NFT gaming describes the product category, while allegations that a project was a rug pull require careful attribution.

Buyback and Lawsuit Status

In January 2024, Paul announced a buyback of eligible CryptoZoo base eggs and animals, committing up to $2.3 million; ZOO tokens were excluded. The program had a deadline in February 2024 and is closed. It was separate from the investor lawsuit and did not represent a general repayment of token-market losses.

In October 2025, a federal judge dismissed all 27 then-pleaded claims against Paul; 26 were dismissed with leave to amend and one with prejudice. Plaintiffs later filed a Second Amended Complaint. A case-status update from July 2026 reported that Paul’s renewed motion to dismiss was fully briefed and awaiting a ruling, with no class certified at that time. This is a procedural update, not a finding that every allegation is true or false; the status can change as the court acts.

Social Media Sentiment

A 2025 r/CryptoCurrency thread about the court’s recommendation in the CryptoZoo case shows commenters debating whether dismissal with leave to amend settled the controversy. It is a small, dated discussion, not evidence about the merits or a measure of all crypto users’ views. Read the discussion.
