In-Depth Explanation
Enzyme Blue lets a manager configure an on-chain strategy and its rules; investors interact with the resulting vaults and their shares. Enzyme’s documentation describes a wider product suite, but those products should not be treated as one protocol or assumed to use MLN in the same way. Smart-contract execution also does not eliminate investment, contract, oracle, governance, or liquidity risk.
History
- 2017 — The project began as Melon Protocol. It focused on on-chain asset management.
- 2021 — Melon v2 launched under the Enzyme name. The project announced a redesigned, modular contract architecture.
- 2026 — Enzyme documentation presents a multi-product suite. The current overview separates Onyx, Blue, and Myso rather than describing every product as a single vault system.
Tokenomics
Enzyme’s current tokenomics documentation describes MLN as a utility token for access to Enzyme Blue. Usage-linked fees are paid in MLN and burned; the documentation also describes dilution of vault shares when required fees are unpaid. It states that up to 300,600 MLN may be minted per year for development and growth, with the Enzyme Council DAO allocating funds and typically burning amounts left unspent. These are protocol rules as documented by Enzyme and may change; do not infer token value from the burn or issuance schedule.
