Bitget Token (BGB) is a crypto token used across the Bitget exchange and Bitget Wallet ecosystems. Bitget describes uses that include paying certain fees, accessing platform programs, and covering some wallet network fees; the available features and terms depend on the product, account, and region. BGB is an exchange-linked digital asset, not a share in Bitget or a guarantee of a particular service or price.

Uses and Platform Rules
Bitget’s materials describe BGB as a utility token across the centralized exchange and wallet. For example, its current support information says an account can opt in to paying eligible spot trading fees with BGB at a discounted rate. Platform benefits can change; the current fee schedule, account settings, local availability, and applicable terms control what a user can actually access. A feature listed in a project document should not be read as a guaranteed return.
BGB also has an on-chain token contract. Holding the token in a personal wallet is different from keeping it on an exchange account: a holder must use a supported network and contract, and a transfer to the wrong address or network may not be recoverable. Exchange custody adds account, platform, and withdrawal risks.
Tokenomics
Bitget’s whitepaper says an initial burn of 800 million BGB was completed in January 2025, reducing the stated total supply to 1.2 billion, and describes a quarterly burn mechanism tied partly to BGB used for wallet gas fees. The same document describes a target of reducing supply to 100 million. These are project statements about a planned mechanism, not a promise about token price or market demand. CoinGecko’s market endpoint reported about 700.0 million BGB circulating and a 2 billion maximum supply at the snapshot above; supply labels and timing can differ between a live market provider and project documents.
A token burn permanently removes tokens from an address or supply, but the effect on value depends on demand, liquidity, usage, and any future issuance or burns. BGB’s role as an exchange-linked token also concentrates exposure to the issuer’s platform and operational decisions.
What the Market Table Does Not Show
The table is a time-stamped market-data snapshot; it is not an assessment of Bitget’s financial condition or an independent check of the token’s utility. The quoted price can move, reported supply can be revised, and access to a product can vary by jurisdiction. Readers should compare the current official terms with on-chain supply records and understand custody and exchange risks before interacting with the token.
