Ankr provides Web3 infrastructure, including blockchain RPC endpoints, developer APIs, staking products, and app-chain services. ANKR is the associated token, but the company's network services should not be reduced to a claim that every RPC request or premium API plan is paid in ANKR.

How It Works
RPC endpoints let applications read blockchain data and submit transactions without operating every node themselves. Ankr also offers developer APIs and infrastructure for application-specific chains. These are service products; their availability, network coverage, and pricing depend on the product and plan.
Ankr's delegated-staking documentation describes ANKR staking as a mechanism intended to connect developers, node providers, and ecosystem supporters. This is distinct from liquid-staking products for assets such as ETH: ankrETH represents a separate staking position, not the ANKR token itself.
Tokenomics
ANKR has a stated total supply of 10 billion and Ankr's documentation says no inflation is built into the token. The same documentation describes an original schedule in which 40% was initially available and the remaining 60% was planned to unlock over 36 months through August 2022. Because that schedule is historical, it should not be used as today's circulating-supply figure.
Current token roles documented by Ankr include delegated staking in its node-marketplace vision. Reward terms depend on the specific staking product and can change; they are not a guaranteed return from simply holding ANKR.
Risks and Scope
Ankr competes with centralized and decentralized infrastructure providers. Node reliability, network demand, product adoption, staking rules, and token liquidity all matter. A token holder should distinguish the business's infrastructure usage from value that actually accrues to ANKR; those are not automatically the same thing.
Social Media Sentiment
A March 2026 r/Ankrofficial thread debated the token's future utility and Ankr's direction. One poster expressed concern about unclear plans, while replies disagreed about the role of ANKR in related network products. This is a small community discussion and its product claims are not treated here as verified facts. Read the public discussion.
