Merit Circle was a gaming-focused decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) whose original MC token was later migrated into BEAM. This entry covers the legacy MC asset and the project’s transition; BEAM is the successor token used in the Beam ecosystem, and the two should not be treated as interchangeable tickers.

CoinGecko snapshot captured 2026-10-24 08:25 UTC; its page showed $0.00 in 24-hour volume, so this is a thin residual listing for legacy MC, not a market quote for BEAM. Price and market capitalization refresh dynamically; liquidity may be extremely limited.
From Gaming DAO to Beam
Merit Circle began in blockchain gaming, including play-to-earn programs, and grew into a DAO that funded and built gaming-related projects. The organization later developed the Beam gaming network. The project’s 2023 migration materials describe a move from MC to BEAM as the ecosystem’s token and state that the migration was offered at a 1 MC to 100 BEAM ratio. The announced migration period ran through October 26, 2024.
Legacy MC and BEAM Are Different
BEAM took over the utility and governance role described for MC in the migration announcement. The Beam documentation now describes BEAM as its network gas and governance token. CoinGecko still has a separate listing for MC, but that listing represents remaining legacy MC, not the successor BEAM token. The snapshot above showed no recorded 24-hour trading volume, so its small quoted market value should not be read as evidence of dependable liquidity or as a current valuation of the Beam ecosystem.
Tokenomics
CoinGecko reported 11.907 million MC as both circulating and maximum supply in the snapshot above. That figure belongs to the residual legacy MC listing; it is not the supply of BEAM. The 1:100 migration changed the number of successor BEAM units issued to migrating holders, so comparing token counts without accounting for the redenomination is misleading. MC’s old governance and utility descriptions should also not be presented as current functions of the legacy token.
Research and Risk Notes
When a project migrates a token, verify the exact chain, contract, and destination asset before interpreting a balance or market page. Legacy tokens can continue to appear on tracking sites even after a migration window ends, and a displayed quote can coexist with negligible or absent trading. The migration history explains the relationship; it does not establish that any particular remaining MC token can still be exchanged for BEAM.
