MAGIC (MAGIC)

MAGIC is the native token of the Treasure DAO ecosystem — a pioneering “metaverse of gaming universes” built on Arbitrum that connects independent games through a shared MAGIC economy, where each game consumes and generates MAGIC, creating cross-game economic interdependence. Launched in 2021 with just a whitepaper and the Bridgeworld game, Treasure DAO grew into one of the most active NFT/gaming ecosystems on Arbitrum, with multiple games (The Beacon, Realm, Knights & Peasants, and others) all using MAGIC as their reserve currency. MAGIC differs from typical gaming tokens because it’s scarce (350M max supply), must be earned or bought (no free emissions from gameplay), and functions more like a cross-game reserve currency than a typical in-game token.

How It Works

Treasure ecosystem:

  • Bridgeworld — Flagship game where players use Legions (NFT characters) to harvest MAGIC through quests, crafting, and summoning
  • The Beacon — Action RPG dungeon crawler using MAGIC
  • Realm — City-building simulation
  • SMOLWORLD, Toadstoolz — Community-created spin-off games
  • All games share the MAGIC economy, creating demand synergies

Bridgeworld mechanics:

Bridgeworld is the “engine” of the MAGIC economy:

  1. Players stake MAGIC in mines to earn emissions (reduced over time)
  2. Players use Legions on quests to earn treasures (secondary market NFTs)
  3. Treasures can be crafted into prisms used for advanced gameplay
  4. MAGIC emissions balance the economy’s supply

Treasure Marketplace:

A native NFT marketplace where cross-game NFTs (Legions, lands, treasures) are traded in MAGIC.

Magic emission reduction:

MAGIC emissions halve periodically, similar to Bitcoin halving — designed to make MAGIC increasingly scarce over time as gameplay expands.

Common Misconceptions

“MAGIC is just another gaming token.” MAGIC’s cross-game reserve model is different from single-game tokens. Its value accrues from ALL games in the Treasure ecosystem, not just one title — more like an index of multiple game economies.

“No VC allocation means it’s not serious.” The fair launch via airdrop to community members actually demonstrated strong alignment with NFT holders. Treasure raised funding later through MAGIC sales at market prices, not pre-ICO discounts.
