ApolloX

ApolloX is a crypto trading brand whose decentralized exchange products include an order-book-based V1 and an on-chain perpetuals V2 documented by the project. The versions use different trading and liquidity designs, so older statements about supported assets, leverage, chains, or an “all-in-one” exchange should not be assumed to apply to every product today.

ApolloX V1 and V2

The project’s V1 documentation describes an order-book model. Its V2 documentation describes perpetual contracts settled through smart contracts and available through supported networks listed in the docs. A perpetual contract has no scheduled expiry, but may use funding payments to keep its price near a reference market. Product interfaces and network support can change; the protocol’s published list should be checked at the time of use.

What ALP Does

ApolloX’s documentation describes ALP as a liquidity pool that acts as the direct counterparty for V2 trades. In broad terms, traders’ gains and losses and protocol fees affect the pool’s position. This is not equivalent to depositing into a bank account or receiving a fixed yield: pool value can change, withdrawals may depend on available liquidity and protocol rules, and smart-contract or market risks remain.

APX and ALP Are Different

APX is described in the project’s materials as its governance and ecosystem token, while ALP represents participation in the liquidity pool. Their functions should not be conflated. Token ownership alone does not establish a right to profits, voting power in every decision, or a particular market value; check the current contracts and terms.

Risks and Due Diligence

Leveraged perpetual trading can liquidate collateral after adverse price movements. Liquidity providers face counterparty exposure to traders and protocol-specific accounting rules. A decentralized interface also depends on smart contracts, oracles, network availability, and the routing or keeper systems described by the project. An interface label such as “DEX” is not by itself a security assessment.

Social Media Sentiment

A June 2023 r/defi comparison listed ApolloX among perpetual DEX examples. Its figures and ranking are historical and should not be used as current market data. Read the Reddit discussion. This is a dated example of community discussion, not a representative or current measurement of overall sentiment.
