Role in Dogecoin
Markus worked on the early Dogecoin software, while Palmer created Dogecoin.com and served for a time as the project’s public face. The two founders later stepped away from development. Dogecoin continued as an open-source project maintained by contributors; neither founder should be described as controlling today’s network.
What the record supports
The Dogecoin project’s own history documents the 2013 origin, the founders’ early roles, and their departure from development in 2014. It does not establish that Markus operates or governs Dogecoin today.
